- Director Alex Proyas's plans for an aerial warfare-based adaptation of Paradise Lost, which was to star Bradley Cooper as People Magazine's 2011 Sexiest Lucifer, has reportedly been put on hold due to the budget rising beyond the $120 million mark. What, Legendary Pictures, you suggest Alex Proyas adapt Paradise Lost with LESS of Milton's awesome aerial combat then?

- Similarly, Warner Bros. has also put Arthur & Lancelot on hold until the film's budget--said to be rising to around $130 million despite a cast of inexpensive, unproven stars--can be brought down dramatically. After all, Warner reportedly owns First Knight on DVD and can already watch that whenever they want.

- Winona Ryder will play wife of contract killer Richard Kuklinski (Michael Shannon) in Ariel Vromen's The Iceman, and then, before we know it, she will return home to the '90s before we can even thank her.

- Sony's The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo adaptation is now opening on December 20, allowing you to one day earlier see what a great job David Fincher did with Rooney Mara's fake pubic hair. Speaking to Metro, the star explained, "There was a lot of discussion that went into my merkin for the movie, because I was naked quite a lot [and] in the book she's meant to have strawberry-blonde hair originally and she dyes it, so we had a special merkin made that was, you know, strawberry-blonde so that it would fit." Good, because I was going to check. (via!)
