Shawn Levy Captaining Our Fantastic Voyage, Super Bowl Still a Very Popular Event, and More

February 7, 2011

- Night at the Museums director Shawn Levy has been hired to direct James Cameron's remake of Fantastic Voyage. I wonder how many celebrity cameos he'll fit inside the human body.

- With more than 111 million viewers, last night's Super Bowl was the most watched television program in history, easily topping Super Bowl XLIV's 106.5 million viewers and the 106.0 million viewers who tuned in to see what amusing chip commercials would air during the series finale of M*A*S*H.

- Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire director Mike Newell has decided to follow the path of fellow one-time Potter director Alfonso Cuarón and do another adaptation of Charles Dickens' Great Expectations. Do not make yours involve Ethan Hawke, Gwyneth Paltrow, and the '90s, please.

- Michael Moore is suing the Weinsteins, claiming they've bilked him out of more than $2.7 million in profits from Fahrenheit 9/11. Don't make him produce and direct Weinthieves, guys, because he will do that.
