This is my most anticipated movie so far.
I've always called Tron the original Matrix.

Still hoping that Metal Gear movie is going to be released too.

It looks beautiful. Perhaps the movie will stink, but the previews are more encouraging than most (except for the albino David Bowie/Riddler the IWS guy mentioned). It was great to see the recognizers are around and still look pretty menacing. I've noticed that the new 2010 Tron world has differences: the shapes are rounder, cycles turn in curves, the sky actually has weather, even the recognizer wobbles about when it lands, and as it's landing, there appears to be atmosphere. I know CGI has improved greatly since the original Tron, but why does that mean cyberspace needs to be more like the real world?

Um... Why did that not suck? Isn't it supposed to suck?

I've been following this for a while and after seeing this teaser....it looks absolutely MASSIVE!! Not to mention the music in the teaser is done by Daft Punk....a track they made specifically for the teaser.

@5...the question to your answer is easy my friend....this isnt the 1980's anymore...technology/computers have advanced 10 fold since then. Im not talking about the CGI for the film...Im talking about the technology the story is based around. The world of Tron has changed and grown with it. Plain and simple. Oh and the light cycles turned in curves in the first film....lots of people forget that. Go watch it again and tell me what they did when they escaped from the game grid.

I really really hope this movie will be as good as the previews make it look. If it sucks I'm going to be so bummed. Also, that is a very nice couch.

I meant more toward the actual film concept. People inside a computer was a concept brought to everyone's attention by Tron.

Either way, I'm stoked on This Tron Legacy idea. Especially since it's in 3D.

Multiple nergasm...down to the touch screen DOS 1.0.1 circa 1982. The trailer alone is cult status and seeing "Flynn's" again brought back some memories. No one, absolutely no one without exception, under the age of 25 (and this still might be too young) will truly appreciate this film. This (including the original) is the epitome of a snapshot in time of pure science fiction and electronic noir.
