Aug 8 2007Be Kind Rewind Official Trailer

Yahoo has the official trailer for Michel Gondry's (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) latest film, Be Kind Rewind. Here's the official description of the movie:

Jerry (Jack Black), a junkyard worker who attempts to sabotage a power plant that he believes is melting his brain. But when his plan goes awry, the magnetic field that he creates accidentally erases all of the videotapes in a local video store where his best friend Mike (Mos Def) works. Fearing that the mishap will cost Mike his job, the two friends team up to keep the store's only loyal customer - a little old lady with a tenuous grasp on reality - from realizing what has happened by recreating and re-filming every movie that she decides to rent.

I put up some screen captures of the various movies they try to remake after the cut. If you can name them all without looking at the trailer you get a free hot dog. To collect the hot dog just stop by your local 7-Eleven, grab a hot dog, and walk out. And if anybody stops you just say, "It's cool, man, I won this." They'll understand.

I love Michel Gondry! but i don't know if i could watch two hours of home movies.

Nevermind, not first.

Did the people who wrote the plot synopsis even watch the trailer? It looks like the movie is about them recreating all the films for everyone's entertainment, not just some little old lady. I was worried about the movie because of that synopsis, but by the trailer, it looks very good. I hope it is

I was all ready to rip the idea. The trailer looks to be better than I could expect but don't know if I will go see it. I would like to know if any of the movie that they made better were TimeWarner movies.

nope, still can't get past Jack Black's face making my stomach turn

Great, another vehicle for Jack Black to prove what an incredible piece of untalented trash he is. Can't get enough of those!

Is Jack Black's green smoke making a dick and balls effect in that last picture?

This trailer is my new favorite movie of all time.

This is a good one to!

i could totally watch 2 hours of home videos.

I haven't viewed the trailer. My best guesses are:

1. Do the Right Thing
2. Rocky
3. The Lion King
4. Driving Miss Daisy
5. 2001 A Space Odyssey
6. Rush Hour
7. Ghostbusters

No 7-11s here. I'd really like a free hot dog. You city types sure do live fancy.

I hate Gondry. Maybe beecause Im french or maybe just because he does always the same shit again and again... Oh cardboard , oh tinfoil, common...

I see the dick and balls!

Saw and advanced screening of this. Some parts kind of drug on, but the parts where they re-create the movies are friggin HILARIOUS.
