Sep 14 2009 Michael Sheen, Proprietor of TR2N's Night Club
Defying all who thought he'd somehow play Tony Blair for a fourth time, Michael Sheen has revealed that his role in Tron Legacy is not some kind of neon helmet-wearing Tony Blair. The actor told ComingSoon:
[M]y stuff was mainly in this amazing set that they built because I'm a nightclub host, so they built the nightclub and there were hundreds of extras and it was one of those great scenes where there's just loads going on.
That's a shame, really. Trony Blair could have been one goddammer of a character.
Aug 27 2009 'New Moon' Photos: Hey, It's the Volturis! You Know, the Volturis
From Yahoo and MTV, here are the first looks at Aro and Alec of the Volturi clan--a series of words that presumably mean something if you've read the Twilight series. All I can figure out is that this new film apparently stars Wayne's World Dracula and the smuggest boy on earth.
Apr 23 2009 Stephen Fry Voicing Chesire Cat, Tony Blair Doing White Rabbit
Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland just got posher. Yesterday, Stephen Fry "did a Twitter," as they say, revealing he's lending his voice to the Chesire Cat in Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland:
Playing Cheshire Cat. Smug, complacent, cheese-eating grin - moi? Walking off to studio in next ten minutes
And later added:
Michael S [Michael Sheen, aka Tony Blair in every movie that has Tony Blair] is the White Rabbit ...
UK readers surely know Fry from his variety of comedy, acting, and hosting duties, and while Wikipedia claims "Fry has become known to American audiences for his recurring guest role as Dr. Gordon Wyatt on the FOX crime series Bones," I'm not sure American audiences actually watch Bones, so below the cut, I've included a short clip of him speaking. Listening, you can imagine how appropriate he'll sound voicing the famous line, "Alice, it's me: the magical, grinning cat named The Chesire Cat. Welcome to Wonderland."

Mar 25 2009 Dennis Quaid Working on His Clinton Impression
If you've got an HBO subscription, keep an eye out for Dennis Quaid to be playing that president from all the McDonald's and semen monologue jokes. The gruff-speaking actor has signed on to play Bill Clinton in the Frost/Nixon playwright's directorial debut, The Special Relationship, a TV movie that, surprisingly, has nothing to do with infidelity. Rather, it's "about the unique and sometimes turbulent political relationship between the newly installed [Tony Blair] and the U.S. president," and Frost/Nixon's Michael Sheen, already Blair twice before, will again play the prime minister. Julianne Moore will co-star as Hillary, so, you know, either a joke about gaining ankle weight or something about a pantsuit fitting.
