Sep 19 2008 'Whaledreamers' Trailer, For Everyone Who Dreams About Whales
Hey, do you like whales and the primitive cultures that celebrate them? Then you're going to want to watch this trailer for the documentary Whaledreamers. Do you trust the producing instincts of Julian Lennon, who has jumped into this whole "online thing" with MyStore.com? How about the reviews of an Angelfire.com address? If so, then you're really going to want to watch this trailer, but know that I don't understand you as a human.

Aug 25 2008 'New York, I Love You' Trailer Tries to Sell Idea of Affection Towards Popular City
Here's the trailer to New York, I Love You (the thematic sequel to Paris, je t'aime), the upcoming film in which 13 directors pretend there aren't already a lot of movies proclaiming love for New York and make some of their own. Who are these directors? All your favorites. Rush Hour director Brett Ratner? Got him. Natalie Portman the Director? She's there. Natalie Portman's Other Boleyn Girl co-star, Scarlett Johansson the Director? Yup. Plus, it stars everyone, and is going to make Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon ridiculously easy from now on.
Jul 16 2008 'Vikings v. Alien Freak' Trailer, Volume II
It seems like only yesterday (it was Friday) I first became aware of the epic, ongoing struggle between Viking, crash-landed space pilot, and alien beast with glowing eyes when I saw the trailer for Outlander. Now, days later, there's already a second preview for this timeless match-up?! I hope this isn't a sign that we're headed towards a non-stop, Dark Knight-style viral campaign assault from Outlander, full of alien-defaced images of Norsemen, growled telephone calls from space beasts, and Dominos pizzas ads wherein aliens and vikings feud over toppings. Wait, no, I do hope that.

Jul 11 2008 'Outlander' Trailer: Classic Battle of Vikings Vs. Alien Beast Finally Visualized
Attention to all my friends: you know all those long, stupid conversations we have where we ask each other pointless questions and debate them ad nauseam--like if X-Men's Beast could take Donkey Kong in a fight, or how many toddlers Mike Tyson could take out (in a hypothetical environment of infinite toddlers) before succumbing to fatigue and ultimately being overtaken? Well, someone has been bugging those conversations, and they're now releasing one of them as a movie that you'd think would be a Sci Fi Channel original but isn't. It's the scenario where we were like, "OK, how about like a full viking army versus this really awesome space dragon? BUT, the vikings have Ron Pearlman and a futuristic humanoid who once played Jesus on their side."
Sep 26 2007 AM Poster Post - The Oxford Murders
I'm going to try doing a new thing where every morning there's a new movie poster, hereby referred to as the AM Poster Post. We'll cross the "no new posters" bridge when we get there.
Today's poster is for The Oxford Murders, in which a professor (John Hurt) and graduate student (Elijah Wood) attempt to stop a series of murders connected to mathematical symbols. Looking at the poster, what is this, first period algebra? See, because there's blood on the chalkboard, and a woman's periods typically... never mind.
