'Mirror Mirror' Continues Looking Like TV Movie with International Trailer

mirror-mirror-trailer-intl.jpg

If the first Mirror Mirror trailer was the one asserting, "We are the wacky Snow White, not the one with the droopy, terrifying Silver Surfer," this is the trailer that reiterates, "Did we mention we've got Nathan Lane, every noise we could squeeze out of World's Zaniest Sound Effects, Vol. 2, and the twin from Social Network acting like a fucking dog? Honestly, we even got real dwarves actually doing that stand-on-each-other's-shoulders-to-look-like-a-normal-sized-man routine you only see in cartoons. That's how little anyone involved took this seriously."

Bill Murray Does a Solid FDR, and More...

- From the set of Hyde Park on Hudson, here's a photo of Bill Murray as Roosevelt. And here's a photo of Bill Murray as Garfield.

- Elijah Wood is attached to play a serial killer in Franck Khalfoun's Maniac, the Alexandre Aja-produced indie thriller about a man who sells antique mannequins and stalks and murders victims he finds on the internet. Please, don't let the horrific premise spook you about buying antique mannequins online, though. I still have hundreds of gently-used mannequins just waiting to find a nice home like yours.

- Relativity Media and Tarsem Singh's long-untitled Snow White project has finally been given the title Mirror Mirror. If you're a member of bygone British pop band 10cc, feel free to pretend it's named after your 1995 album that Tarsem presumably agrees is underrated.

- Legendary Pictures has picked up the rights to Spectral, Ian Fried's pitch that follows a special ops group fighting evil spectres haunting Manhattan. Someone please tell Dan Aykroyd that this counts as Ghostbusters 3 so we can be done with that.

Tarsem Singh's Snow White Film Has New Photos, Still Maybe No Title

Like a visit to a fancy strip club, when watching a film by Tarsem Singh (The Cell, The Fall), the eye-catching visuals are paramount and, if Vince Vaughn suddenly shows up, well, that's just a not-entirely-unexpected bonus. Singh's next, Immortals, has so far seemed a bit lacking image-wise, at least in that it looks to be constructed entirely of dirt and someone's nightmares of 300, but after that he has a still-untitled retelling of the Snow White tale, and that appears to be stepping the visuals back up to the lurid, technicolor get-ups we've come to expect from the director. People, Yahoo, and EW have all just posted new stills from that fairy tale film, so let's take a look and make some premature judgements if this will be a better Snow White than the one where Kristen Stewart sulks around in armor.

Sean Bean Ever-Eager To Work with More Dwarves

sean-bean-sword.jpg

Sean Bean, whose work in Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones has already given him a well-established record of co-starring with dwarves, will once again foster positive Bean-Dwarf relations in Tarsem Singh's still-untitled Snow White project. The actor is reportedly in late talks to play Snow White's father, a king who is married to evil queen Julia Roberts. He joins Lilly Collins (Snow), Armie Hammer (Facebook prince), and a whole mess of sub-5' dudes in the film, and, presumably, he'll be wearing some sort of armor.
