See Michael Cera Die in 'This Is the End' Red-Band Trailer

this-is-the-end-red-band.jpg

As long foretold in Judd Apatow producer credits, the apocalypse comes and leaves behind only Seth Rogen & Friends in This Is the End. Here's the latest trailer, showing off cameos from the likes of Rihanna, Michael Cera, Aziz Ansari, Kevin Hart, and a Milky Way bar, all of whom do not appear to last very long. Emma Watson also shows up but does not die. She just shows up with an axe and robs everyone. Anyway, if you're looking for an apocalyptic movie where everyone is basically playing themselves but that is not Armageddon, this should work pretty well. Take a look below.

'Battleship' Aliens Just Bald Dopes with Bristly Goatees

battleship-alien-goatee.jpg

As little faith as I have in Battleship, I really don't want to ruin it for anyone any more than I want to ruin a drinking buddy's birthday wish. So if you do not want to spoil what the aliens look like before you see them fight boats, please do not click ahead to the following clip and screengrab. That said, this appears to be an official clip released by the studio, so it would seem, plot-wise, it doesn't really matter if you prematurely know that the aliens are these bald dopes with pronounced goatees. That knowledge will presumably not ruin your enjoyment of aliens fighting boats. I wouldn't worry about it too much either way. The film will live or die mostly on Liam Neeson's delivery of "release the Battleship" anyway.

New 'Battleship' Trailer Adds More CGIs to Boat-Transformer War

battleship-trailer-3.jpg

Having been given a few months to add more CGI shit since the last trailer, Universal and Hasbro have for us a new Battleship preview that has so much more CGI shit. Now we get a better look at these aliens and their ripped-from-a-first-person-shooter armor. We see the inner-workings of the alien weapon launcher--a CGI chamber filled with the same vertigo-inducing whirling shards, metal chains, and glowing balls that fill Michael Bay's scrotum. With rendering near completion on Brooklyn Decker's face, she ever-so-briefly expresses concern. Overall, the whole production is really coming together into something that very nearly resembles a movie. Have a look.

'Battleship' Trailer: 'Transformers' Meets Boats

battleship-trailer-yikes.jpg

Though Taylor Kitsch has kept himself busy fighting CGI aliens abroad, he has not forgotten his responsibility to defend our own world from CGI alien forces as well. In this trailer for Battleship--ostensibly based on the parlor game of the same name, though no it isn't--Kitsch and his crew of pop singers and True Blood stars protect Earth's own waters from a deadly threat unseen since a couple months ago: all the loudest, most crudely-defined shit from Transformers: Dark of the Moon! That's right; the same vaguely robotic dins, giant bike chains, and general exploding shit that haunted poor Shia LaBeouf last summer have returned to wreak havoc on an extremely specific plot of water. Michael Bay is going to be so pissed when he realizes he must have left his USB stick in the editing suite...

First Look at 'Battleship': Rihanna Pretends She's in the Navy

battleship-rihanna.jpg

Our premier Rihanna photo site, Rihannaphotos.org, has shared with us this first look at the singer-cum-actress on the set of one our many upcoming boardgame-based films, Battleship. What do you think? More or less convincing Naval officer than Donald Duck?

Rihanna in the 'Battleship' Movie

rihanna.jpg

Just in case the "kids love board games!" philosophy behind making a Battleship movie doesn't pay off, Universal has added a Plan B: the kids like that Rihanna, right? According to Variety, the pop star has signed on for Peter Berg's adaptation of the peg-and-boat board game, joining Taylor Kitsch, Alexander Skarsgard, and, of course, aliens in the inexplicable film. The story doesn't mention who Rihanna wil play, but it does note the film "takes place across the seas, over the skies and land in a battle for planet survival against a superior force." Classic Battleship.
