For years Simpsons fans have, bored by debates about the best Lionel Hutz quotes, tried to determine the location of the town of Springfield. Unfortunately for them, Springfield as depicted in The Simpsons is not an actual town, so it's pretty hard to figure out exactly where it is unless creator Matt Groening just outright tells everyone and--oh, hey, now he's sort of done that.
