Widely acknowledged as one of our best humans, Gary Oldman has naturally been selected to lead the species of man in Matt Reeves' Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. He's joining Zero Dark Thirty's Jason Clarke and Let Me In's Kodi-Smit McPhee in the film, and he'll reportedly be taking on the new role of Dreyfus, head of man's resistance against the ape menace. Of course, as we know from the original installment of Planet of the Apes, that fight probably won't go so well for him, but still, always enjoyable to see Oldman, if even just until a gorilla tears his arms out.
