Having proved himself an effective torturer in Zero Dark Thirty, Jason Clarke will now move on to humiliating some apes who might have information on their hirsute leader.
THR says he's been cast in 20th Century Fox's Rise of the Planet of the Apes sequel, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, likely replacing James Franco as the new unconvincing scientist to hug chimps and kiss pretty fellow scientists. That latter part hasn't been confirmed yet, but it is reported the film will split time between Caesar's struggle to maintain ape dominance and the problems of a group of human scientists trying to survive in San Francisco. Ape or scientist, we've all got some shit, you know? That's probably the moral. That or the idea we should be breeding chimp-men to act as future intermediaries.
