'Room 237' Teaser Gets To the Heart of 'The Shining,' Finds a Bleeding VCR


Over thirty years since its release and the legendary status of Stanley Kubrick's The Shining has only grown--along with questions that still linger about the film and its production. Like what was with that bear giving a blowjob? Does that feel better than normal, human blowjobs? And what do those feel like? With the documentary Room 237, Rodney Ascher tries to get to the bottom of some of these mysteries, speaking to fanatics and scholars and reexamining the now-classic to put together clues that might hint at larger themes Simpsons "Treehouse of Horror" references perhaps overlooked.

Here's the first trailer, which doesn't delve too deeply into theories but does have some rave reviews and a fuck-ton of blood, so that's something.
