Looks like Woody Allen is going to continue his relationships with his distributor and film titles that sound increasingly like cheap perfumes. After handling Midnight in Paris and To Rome with Love, Sony Pictures Classics has acquired North American rights to Blue Jasmine, Allen's latest, said to focus on "the final stages of an acute crisis and a life of a fashionable New York housewife." Alec Baldwin, Cate Blanchett, Bobby Cannavale, Louis C.K., Andrew Dice Clay, Sally Hawkins, Peter Sarsgaard, and Michael Stuhlbarg star in what marks the writer-director's return to New York after an extended, neurotic European vacation.
