A belated Christmas gift from the Tyler Perry of espionage!
With Kenneth Branagh already dreamily working on a revamp of Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan franchise, video game developer Ubisoft is reportedly doubling their efforts to turn all their Tom Clancy stuff into films, too. The company's new motion picture wing already has aTom Clancy's Splinter Cell adaptation in development with Tom Hardy in the night-vision goggles, and now the L.A. Times (via) had added the vague, brief update that Ubisoft is "also putting together a pitch for a movie based on [Clancy's] Ghost Recon games about a special operations military squad." So expect a little more sneaking around and shooting in 2013. Clancy New Year, everyone.
