Jay-Z Will Provide Just the 'Great Gatsby' Soundtrack Fitzgerald Probably Imagined

It seems The Great Gatsby will have have a Jay-Z connection beyond the trailers' use of "No Church in the Wild" and the scene where Gatsby knocks up Beyoncé.

According to artist The Bullitts (via), he and Jay-Z are apparently doing the score for this thing, too, with Bullits tweeting, "Jay-Z and myself have been working tirelessly on the score for the upcoming #CLASSIC The Great Gatsby!" So often you get these movie trailers where it's like "bewww dehneh dehneh dehneh dehneh dehneh benneh benneh" and then you don't even get that in the movie, but Baz Luhrmann is really coming through with the "bewww dehneh dehneh dehneh dehneh dehneh benneh benneh" this time. So good for him.

Not shying from the braggadocio of deeming The Great Gatsby a new #CLASSIC, The Bullitts also added that their score is "too DOPE for words!" Thankfully, now that books have at last been driven to obsolescence due to Luhrmann's adaptation, we no longer need words to describe things anyway. The real question is, how many 3Ds is it?
