House Bunny, Minority Leader Also Coming to Television

Turns out Big Momma is not the only hilarious/powerful woman coming to the television. Anna Faris and Nancy Pelosi are also going to do that.

With her longtime Scary Movie duties of reacting to outdated horror references now passed along to Ashley Tisdale, Anna Faris has committed herself to a new extended exercise in audience pandering. She's reportedly been tapped to star in Mom, the latest CBS sitcom from Two and a Half Men and Mike & Molly creator Chuck Lorre. Faris will play the title character, a woman who is newly-sober and also has a child, one presumes. Motherhood! Mental lucidity! Am I right? ("I" being Chuck Lorre.)

Unrelated to that, Nancy Pelosi is going to be on TV too. Following in the footsteps of fellow politicians Al Gore, Condoleeza Rice, and Michael Bloomberg, she's doing a cameo on 30 Rock. She'll assumedly be playing herself, and will appear on the one-hour series finale airing January 31. She is not starring in Leader of the House?, a multi-camera sitcom based on Pelosi's own hilarious observations on the fact that sometimes leading her party in the House of Representatives is a lot easier than running her own family. That will come later.
