With Joseph Gordon-Levitt reportedly rejecting their offer, Legendary Pictures has moved on to find someone else to become their new, mutated breed of Matthew Broderick.
Deadline reports the studio is now offering Kick-Ass and Anna Karenina star Aaron Johnson the lead in their Godzilla reboot--though he evidently isn't going to give them an answer just yet. Perhaps telling as to why Gordon-Levitt wasn't having anything of it, Johnson won't make a final decision on his participation until he sees the new draft, Frank Darabont started on this week. I don't mean to get you worried, but I'm starting to think this movie about a giant lizard attack might not have the most thoughtful script.
