'Girl Meets World' Has Its Girl To Meet World
Girl Meets World--the Boy Meets World sequel series we've been closely following instead of growing up, our way of prolonging a distant '90s youth we've pathetically glamorized in our heads--has found its title girl. EW reports the heir of Cory and Topanga will be played by Rowan Blanchard, an 11-year-old whose biggest roles to date include parts in Spy Kids 4 and the already-forgotten Jennifer Lopez vehicle The Back-Up Plan. We'll have to wait for the series' tentative fall debut before we see her in the part, but series creator Michael Jacobs promises she's "real and accessible" and "reminded [him] of why Ben Savage was loved as Cory Matthews." So expect her to be reminiscent of being related to Fred Savage.
