'80s TV commercials--those forgotten ghosts forever haunting taped Saturday morning cartoons and Sunday night movies with their promises of gum and bear cookies--have at last been exorcised and given a proper home in Memorex. The video from Smash TV puts together 50 minutes of lost retro ads, most more immediately familiar than your former classmates of the era, artfully arranging them in themes and setting them to an ambient, psychedelic soundtrack. It's both warmly nostalgic and mesmerizingly trippy. If you watch it high, you go back in time and do everything over, but in the end decide to live your life as it is now. Neat!
