Sam Jackson has still had it with these motherfuckin' snakes on this motherfuckin' plane, but he's apparently fine with the guy who directed him to shout that.
Speaking to Movies.com (via), Jackson revealed that he'll soon be reunited with Snakes on a Plane director David R. Ellis for Kite, an live-action adaptation of the violent anime of the same name.
The original tells the story of a girl whose parents are murdered, leading her to be taken in (and abused!) by a detective on the case who also turns her into an assassin. While the original came out in 1998, this adaptation--which Ellis has been attached to since last fall-- reportedly now "takes place in a post-financial collapse corrupt society," so it seems the director is adding some political commentary to elevate the material, much as he elevated snakes by putting them on a plane.
Jackson says he's shooting the film right after RoboCop, so expect some delays on the other five films Ellis is reportedly developing. Sorry, Zombie Blondes.
