Of Course Kristen Wiig Will Be in 'Anchorman 2'

A lot has changed since the first Anchorman came to theaters in the summer of 2004. Obama! Kindle Paperwhite! And now, when there's a big film with a bunch of chummy comedy ringers, we sort of expect Kristen Wiig is going to show up in there somewhere.

Thus, she probably will, with The Wrap reporting Wiig is in talks with Paramount to join the film as "a love interest"--though, surprisingly, not as the Christina Applegate-like rationale foil to Ron Burgundy. Rather, she'll reportedly take a possibly-illegal sexual interest in the mentally ill, playing opposite Steve Carell's Brick.

Aside from the returning main cast, no other parts have been confirmed, but again, with the way things have changed since 2004, we can safely assume Melissa McCarthy, Jon Hamm, Adam Scott, Chris O'Dowd, Bill Hader, Will Arnett, and Jason Bateman will at least show their face for a fight scene, right?
