Stallone Stopped Shooting Humans To Shoot Indie Drama
Addressing one of the larger casting failings of his Expendables 2, Sylvester Stallone will at last surrender to popular demand and re-team with the guy who played "Cho" in 1986's Cobra for the indie drama Reach Me.
Though Stallone has been keeping himself busy grappling with various Variety reports he's already shot his part in the film--written and directed by John Herzfeld, who since Cobra has made more of his living behind the camera, in 2001 writing and directing Robert De Niro and Ed Burns in 15 Minutes, if you remember that thing. The ensemble cast also includes Omari Hardwick, Elizabeth Henstridge, Danny Aiello, Rebekah Chaney, and rapper Nelly in his first film role since 2005's The Longest Yard; Stallone's role isn't known, but the plot is said to involve "a group of people who all have a connection to a self-help book authored by a reclusive former football coach." And who doesn't love a football coach that seems to be hiding something?
