Shawn Not Invited to 'Boy Meets World' Reunion

Looks like Disney Channel's Boy Meets World sequel will not be the full "What Do They Look Like Now?/Are They Dead?" reunion you may have hoped for.

On his blog (via), Rider Strong, aka Shawn Hunter, has delivered the heartrending news that, as of now, there are no plans for him to have any involvement in Girl Meets World. As Strong points out, the new series "will be about Cory and Topanga, their daughter, and a new set of characters," and thus it would be weird if the dad's friend kept showing up. Just think whenever your dad suddenly had a friend show up. Wasn't it weird? Since when does your dad have friends he's hanging out with?

For the disappointed Boy Meets World devotees, Strong did offer some hope, though, adding, "There might [still] be a chance to see some of the BMW cast in a guest spot." After all, the show will inevitably get to a cautionary episode about meeting people off the internet, and someone's going to have to play the old sex offender. Minkus?
