Flight of the Conchords star Bret McKenzie already won his first Academy Award for original songwriting in The Muppets, and now it seems he'll go for a second in the sequel, so watch your ass, Randy Newman.
Collider recently spoke with Muppets producer Todd Lieberman, who brought the news of McKenzie's return for the sequel, and confirmed that the film will take place in Europe, with production starting in January at London's Pinebox Studio. Lieberman also teased that there "might" be a new muppet, and said we can expect a flood of new casting news in the near future. As for now, we just know Jason Segel is out and Christoph Waltz is in, so hopefully he'll be getting in on the McKenzie song action this time. Waltz got the goods:
