No More 'Louie' Until 2014

After three seasons of writing, directing, editing, and handling all the many pained faces on his Emmy-winning FX series, Louis CK is taking a little break from Louie.

In a conference call today, he told reporters:

"I want season four to go somewhere new ... I'm looking back to when I did the first season and the time I took to do the show and decide which directions to go in and I want that back again. I want a little breathing room.

"The last three seasons have been a surge of fun stories and it's been great to share all the stuff and I want the show to keep getting better. I want it to keep being something that comes from somewhere fun and important."

As such, the premiere of the fourth season of Louie has been bumped from summer 2013 to spring 2014. Seeing as how Curb Your Enthusiasm is similarly on hiatus for a yet-undetermined amount of time, it seems 2013 may be the year we have to actually go outside and painfully interact with others to get our fill of painful interactions with others.
