The star of Street Fighter, Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, two Stargate series, and the animated Spawn series has found a new project she'll have to pretend to care about when sweaty fans approach.
ER and Eureka's Ming-Na is returning to television with a role in S.H.I.E.L.D., Joss Whedon's attempt to push his Avengers luck into an ABC series. The actress will reportedly play Agent Melinda May, a "top-notch pilot, weapons expert and soldier who is described as being soulful but damaged by her time spent in combat." As previously noted, she'll star alongside Clark Gregg, whose Agent Coulson is also soulful and presumably damaged by combat, but at least not dead anymore, so good for him.
