Katee Sackhoff Joins All-Female 'Expendables' Thing

Not exactly out of left field--but also not exactly Michelle Rodriguez, Linda Hamilton, or Cynthia Rothrock--Battlestar Galactica star Katee Sackhoff is joining Gina Carano in the cast of Adi Shankar's all-lady take on The Expendables' "action people shooting guns, together" model.

Talking to Variety, Shankar used some dated internet vernacular to praise his newly-cast star, saying, "If you spend five minutes with Katee it becomes blatantly obvious that she would pwn [sic] most male action stars." Variety's story adds that "several prominent actresses affiliated with the action genre" are also circling roles in the film, but fails to mention who these prominent actresses are, or whether they're the actresses we dutifully speculate on every time this thing is brought up. It also isn't yet clear if one of the actresses will have a scene where they'll sternly say, "DON'T call me 'babe'," then cock a shotgun. But if I had to guess, I would wager Michelle Rodriguez is probably one of these supposed prominent actresses, and yes, obviously that scene will happen, and it will be in the trailer.
