The Evil Dead remake trailer premieres tomorrow, but as is now customary for any film that's highly anticipated/dreaded enough, a lesser trailer has preceded that trailer to trumpet its impending existence.
The below mini-teaser includes scant few actual shots from the movie, but it does have a bit of footage from the New York Comic Con panel, showing how star Jane Levy promised the film was scary, director Fede Alvarez rightfully asked, "What, was I supposed to turn down a huge opportunity just because it was a senseless remake?", and original Evil Dead star Bruce Campbell heavily implied there would be copious amounts of blood. That remains to be seen, but one thing about the film is already abundantly clear: it is very greenish.
The assurances and producer credits of Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell notwithstanding, diehard fans of The Evil Dead will probably never be too thrilled about the remake. But you have to give this trailer credit for trying, doing its best to win over the zealots by way of surpris... / Continue →
