Bryan Singer Confirmed for 'X-Men: Days of Future Past'

For the first time since 2003's X2, Bryan Singer will return to making a real show of composing a helmet shot.

Confirming what was rumored last week, ComingSoon reports Singer will indeed return to the director's chair for X-Men: Days of Future Past, switching roles entirely with X-Men: First Class director Matthew Vaughn. While Singer produced and provided a story treatment for First Class, now Vaughn is doing those things for Singer. Whereas Vaughn is normally the sports-loving, immature party animal, now the normally-serious Singer will forego his responsible studying to fill that role. Their parents are shocked and confused; everything is crazy.

Beyond reuniting Singer with the franchise he started, the film may get the director back with his old stars, too, as Patrick Stewart has strongly implied that he'll be in the sequel alongside Halle Berry, Famke Janssen, Rebecca Romijn, and Anna Paquin. A fur-covered Kelsey Grammer remains a question mark.
