Willem Dafoe Joins 'Whiskey Bay', 'Most Wanted'

Good news if you're Willem Dafoe's agent: despite your fears that directors will one day realize how weird-looking your client is and stop casting him, he is still getting parts. Two new ones!
Variety reports that Dafoe's gaunt face, wild eyes, and manic grin are likely to be a part of A Most Wanted Man, the upcoming film from The American director Anton Corbijn. Based on the book by John le Carré (of recent Tinker Tailor Gary Oldman fame), the story is said to revolve "around a Chechnian Muslim who illegally immigrates to Hamburg, Germany, where he gets caught up in the international war on terror." Robin Wright is also starring, as a contrast to how aging can end up going for you.
Meanwhile, Deadline claims Dafoe will join Matt Dillon in Chris Brinker's Whiskey Bay. Dafoe will play a cop who arrests estranged white supremacist Jesse Wheeler (Dillon) and recruits him to go undercover in the Aryan Brotherhood and find out how they get their whites so violently white. Will Dillon and Dafoe have absolutely ridiculous handlebar mustaches in this film? Why, as a matter of fact, they sure will.
