Michael K. Williams To Play RoboCop's New Nancy Allen Part

Once again hoping to work alongside law enforcement and encased heroes, The Wire and Trapped in the Closet star Michael K. Williams has entered talks to join MGM and Sony's José Padilha-directed RoboCop remake.

According to THR, he'd be playing officer Alex Murphy's pre-RoboCop partner, who has presumably been updated to no longer be named Anne Lewis. If negotiations work out, Williams would join an eclectic, oddly-lanky, better-than-a-RoboCop-remake-deserves cast that includes Joel Kinnaman, Hugh Laurie, Jay Baruchel, Abbie Cornish, Jackie Earle Haley, Samuel L. Jackson, and Gary Oldman. If talks fall apart, he'll just star in RobOmar, the movie I'm currently making in my head. As it currently stands, RobOmar's robotic, monotone "indeed" is almost certainly closing the trailer.
