First Look at 'The Butler' Butler and More...

- Above, from Variety, is a first look at Forest Whitaker in Precious director Lee Daniels' The Butler. In the film, Whitaker plays a longterm US Presidential butler, from back in the days when butlers were indiscriminately stored in darkened rooms.

- Anna Kendrick, Felicity Jones, and Imogen Poots are the frontrunners to join Marvel's upcoming superhero sequel, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, the New York Post reports. They'd be playing the romantic lead who would kiss Cap as Anthony Mackie's Falcon jealously looks on.

- Super director James Gunn may be returning to the world of superheroes for Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: according to THR, he's at the top of Marvel's shortlist to direct the film. If this means Rocket Raccoon is going to bludgeon people with a pipe wrench, hooray!

- Samuel L. Jackson has joined the cast of Spike Lee's Oldboy remake, and will play a man being tortured by Josh Brolin's lead. The music for this scene--and the rest of the movie, for that matter--will be provided by Bruce Hornsby, who you probably know from Bruce Hornsby and the Range, the group that gave us this hit single that shot up all the way number one on Billboard's US Adult Contemporary charts back in 1986:
