Though Aaron Sorkin and Steven Spielberg have for years been trying to get The Trial of the Chicago 7 off the ground, it looks like they've been bested in both promptness and promised defendants by Pinchas Perry's The Chicago 8. Based on the actual court trials of the eight (later seven) men charged as a group with conspiracy and inciting a riot during the 1968 Democratic National Convention, the film stars Gary Cole, Mayim Bialik, Orlando Jones, Danny Masterson, Thomas Ian Nicholas, Steven Culp, and Philip Baker Hall as the judge. Despite the implications brought on by such a cast, I am reasonably confident that what awaits below is an actual movie trailer, not a reality show pilot for HALL of Justice.
