'Avengers' Alternate Opening: Whedon Almost Gave Us a Flash Forward

Included with the soon-to-be-released Avengers Blu-ray, here's an alternate, totally-different, Cobie Smulders-filled opening to Joss Whedon's superhero blockbuster. On the one hand, it isn't really necessary nor all that interesting a scene, but on the other hand, it does a great job quickly introducing the film's central theme: flipped over cars. So hard to say if Whedon made the right call on this one. Decide for yourself below.
