Weekend Box Office Proves Audiences Still, Sadly, Like To Move It, Move It

Your weekend box office:

1. Madagascar 3 - $60.4 million, once again proving if there's one thing audiences love, it's cross-species sexuality.

2. Prometheus - $50 million--one of the top second-place openings in history. Which is good for the studio but still an unmitigated failure in the eyes of No Fear sloganeers.

3. Snow White and the Huntsman - Another $23 million to rationalize the creation of an entire Snow White action franchise.

4. Men in Black 3 - $13.5 million, still trailing where MiB2 was in the same period. Not that certain MiB theme song composers give a number two.

5. The Avengers - $10.8 million. Could this be the superhero film's last week in the top five? I sort of hope so, because I've run out of ways to comment on how much money this goddammer has made.
