Stephen Colbert, Allison Janney Will Add Voices to 'Mr. Peabody and Sherman'

DreamWorks Animation's remake of Mr. Peabody and Sherman suddenly has a much stronger sense of dignified nationalism.
Stephen Colbert and The West Wing's Allison Janney have reportedly joined the family film--which has just been bumped from March 14, 2014 to Nov. 8, 2013, DreamWorks is so keen on on re-inventing the dog and pet boy as carefully-styled CGI hair. The two will play the Peterson family, with Colbert playing Paul Peterson--"Mr. Peabody's nemesis"--and Janney playing both wife and bullying daughter.
Also joining Modern Family Ty Burrell and child actor Max Charles--who have the titles roles--are The Office's Ellie Kemper, fellow Modern Family member Ariel Winter, and ubiquitous character actor Stephen Tobolowsky, all of whose voices have been cast in still-unrevealed parts. It's a solid cast for sure, but in terms of Jay Ward cartoon adaptations, still not as impressive as when we got Robert De Niro to star alongside both Kenan and Kel for The Adventures of Rocky & Bullwinkle. Those were the days.
