Production Begins on 'Raging Bull' Sequel That Has William Forsythe in It

As to the question of when actor William Forsythe will begin work on a sequel to Raging Bull: he already started this weekend, so get off his back about it.

Yes, production has begun on Raging Bull II, the actual, somehow-not-satirical follow-up to Martin Scorsese's 1980 classic. National Lampoon's Cattle Call helmer Martin Guigui is directing from a script he co-wrote that, in spite of the title, serves as both a sequel and a prequel to the original. Unknown Mojean Aria plays the younger Jake LaMatto while William Forsythe--seen above sparring with a noted male prostitute--has been tasked with playing the elder version of the boxer famously portrayed by Robert De Niro, which can mean only one thing: Tom Berenger must be busy with Back 2 Mean Streets.
