'Dirty Dancing' Remake Put in Corner for a Couple More Years

Nobody puts Baby in the corner, but a remake of Dirty Dancing is fine to shove out of the way for a couple years.

Reportedly owing to the "casting reasons" inherent in trying to replace Patrick Swayze with anyone who is not Patrick Swayze, and has therefore likely not torn a dude's thrown out just because he could, Lionsgate has put Dirty Dancing remake they started planning back in 2009 in the metaphorical corner, pushing back the July 2013 release date "at least until 2014." Hopefully by then the studio will have wiped away half its casting problems by finding the guys who have Jerry Orbach's eyes to trade-out playing Jerry Orbach.
