Well, if you didn't hear, today has started poorly with the news legendary children's book author Maurice Sendak has died at 83, due to complications from a recent stroke. I'll leave it to The New York Times for the full obituary, but I thought we might remember the illustration icon with a brief featurette made by Spike Jonze back in 2009, when the director sat down with Sendak to talk about his seminal book and the then-upcoming Where the Wild Things Are movie.
