Anthony Hopkins Might Be 'RED 2' Villain

Anthony Hopkins may very well be one of the aging old faces you recognize in the upcoming sequel to 2010's more-fun-than-it-should've-been RED. Unless he'll be busy having something glued over his eye.

Deadline reports Summit Entertainment wants Hopkins to join the old cast--plus Catherine Zeta-Jones and Byung Hun-Li (G.I. Joe's Storm Shadow)--as villain Edward Bailey in RED 2, set to be directed by Galaxy Quest's Dean Parisot. The rub is that Hopkins is already firmly committed to play the dad character in Thor 2 at around the same time, which could make scheduling tricky or impossible. Sometimes there just aren't enough Anthony Hopkins to go around Hollywood, let alone enough for a Broadway musical in which Hopkins' Nixon, Hrothgar, Odin, and John Quincy Adams share an apartment. Too Many Hopkings is not to be.
