'Ant-Man' Might Shoot This Year, Edgar Wright Vaguely Hopes
While new Edgar Wright would be shooting The World's End in September was exciting from the perspective of finishing up his Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy, the downside to this announcement was that it seemed to indicate Wright's long-gestating Ant-Man film was once again being put aside. OR SO WE THOUGHT. Turns out, we should not have given up so easily, like we always do. O, why is our spirit so readily broken?
Responding to an inquiry by /Film, Wright now claims to have the hazy plan of shooting The World's End AND (some) Ant-Man before the end of the year. Or at least he vaguely hopes something like that will happen, saying:
"So as not to jinx things, I am going to remain spectacularly vague on this. Let's just say I hope to shoot some Antman & World's End this year."
Ambitious! Let's hope that happens, then. With audiences responding with surprising enthusiasm to all the aliens and Hulks and gods in The Avengers, there's probably no better time to see if they'll also swallow a superhero who changes size and talks to ants. Maybe if they're high?
