First Look at Keira Knightley, Albino Prince in 'Anna Karenina'

Like half of the films director Joe Wright had made, his adaptation of Tolstoy's Anna Karenina stars Keira Knightley and puts her in period costumes the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will go totally Tex Avery Cartoon Wolf over. Unlike 2005's Pride & Prejudice and 2007's Atonement, however, Wright reportedly takes a more experimental, Dogville-esque approach this time, setting the entire ornately-decorated film on single stage. Also separating Kerenina from prior period pieces? Aaron Johnson is in this, and for some reason he looks like Prince after being left out to bleach on the dash of his little red corvette:

And why has Jude Law fused with his Sherlock Holmes 2's co-star Jared Harris?

The film doesn't yet have a US release date, but it hits theaters in Europe this fall, so don't be surprised if a stateside release comes soon after. That way we'll remember to give it its due Oscars.
