Sorry, Lindsay Lohan, Megan Fox Might Be Elizabeth Taylor Instead

megan-fox.jpg

Bad news, Lindsay Lohan. Just as Megan Fox replaced you as the most statistically likely masturbation material when all that's around is an ex-girlfriend's Us Weekly, she may also be replacing you as the female lead in Lifetime's Elizabeth Taylor/Richard Burton biopic, Liz and Dick.

Speaking to E!, executive producer Larry Thompson confirmed the news that Lohan was in talks to attempt reviving her career with the Lifetime TV movie, despite Lifetime TV movies never in history being considered an upswing for a career. He then added that he has "been in conversations with other actresses, including Megan Fox."

In comparison to Lohan, Fox--who could also use something of a career revival, now only getting the same role as a comedically hot young lust object since making awfuls Passion Play and Jonah Hex--no doubt seems like a safer choice to actually show up and not be arrested for something, but Thompson wants to be clear that no one should be insulted by the broad net he's casting. It's just that this is SO FUCKING SERIOUS:

"It's a very serious selection," Thompson continued. "It's like casting for Hollywood royalty."

Well, sure, I suppose it is sort of casting Hollywood royalty, but it's also casting for a Lifetime Original Movie, so I'm not really sure it counts. You can say you're casting the King of the Jews, too, but no one really gives a shit if you're talking about an elementary school nativity play.
