1. Underworld Awakening - $25.4 million. Good news, Re5ident Evil: Retribution: the promise "pretty girl shoot monsters" is still apparently a pretty effective bait.

2. Red Tails - $19.1 million, which I won't comment on, lest George Lucas think anyone is yelling at him again.

3. Contraband - $12.2 million, dropping off 50% as the population started to once piece together hazy memories of the distress of Max Payne.

4. Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close - $10.5 million. It seems there were indeed individuals who wanted to see 9/11 handled with all the emotional subtlety of an episode of Full House.

5. Haywire - $9 million, like I'm the only one who wanted to vicariously live out the experience of a woman's powerful thighs slowly cutting off blood to my brain? Is that it?
