'Jack the Giant Killer' Shoved Back Nine Months, 'Arthur & Lancelot' Off Calendar Altogether

Well, we're going to have to wait another full year before we find out how Bryan Singer's fairy tale movie can take magic beans so seriously. Jack[,] the Giant Killer, originally scheduled to strut out confidently between fellow big June releases Prometheus and Pixar's Brave, is now going being snuck in the back entrance next March, 2013. As a result, you'll have to wait two more weeks to watch a wigged Tom Cruise do shirtless karaoke, as Rock of Ages is moving back to take that now-vacant June 15th spot.
In a second showing of how disappointed Warner Bros. is in its Ren faire-loving children, Arthur & Lancelot has been removed from the schedule entirely. Last month, production on that film had been delayed until the budget could be lowered dramatically, and as a result, the studio is now no longer confident they can meet the planned March 15, 2013 release--or any release at all, for that matter. Still, an insider assured THR, "We are trying to make it work. It's not dead." So keep hope alive for a light-hearted action take on Arthurian legend, if that's something you want. Otherwise, let's just treat it like everything else in our lives, and put off thinking about it until it's too physically painful.
