
Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained recently pulled the mustache of Gerald McRaney into its cast, but it seems another fatherly presence has been lost. Kevin Costner was attached to play a character named Ace Woody, the man who trains slaves to fight each other, but now, tweets Variety's Justin Kroll, Waterworld has been forced to drop out of the production due to scheduling conflicts--not because of moral conflicts, if that's what you were thinking. Kevin Costner would be fine portraying a man instructing enslaved men to brutally murder one another for the entertainment of Southern gentleman, it's just, who has the time, you know? Sadly, not Kevin Costner. I bet Nicolas Cage does, though.
