Don Cheadle Gives Us a Taste of Our 'Captain Planet' Movie Future


The power, sadly, is not our when it comes to whether or not there will be a Captain Planet and the Planeteers movie, and a live-action version of the preachy animated series is coming despite the protests of the sane and pollution-minded. But, hey, at least now we have a preview what to expect when we finally see a live-action version of the character, thanks to Don Cheadle and Funny or Die's new sketch about our planet's glossy blue savior. The findings? It turns out a live-action Captain Planet looks like a nightmarish blend of Star Trek: TNG's Data, a character from Reboot, and a New York scenester from the '80s who really wants you to go do bathroom drugs with them.
