Will Ferrell To Play Hedge Fund Manager, See God

While sequels to Anchorman and Stepbrothers continue to go on tragically unrealized, the manchildren over at Will Ferrell and Adam McKay's Gary Sanchez Productions at least haven't forgotten their civic duty of giving Ferrell things to scream about on film. According to Deadline, Sanchez and Warner Bros. are now working together on Swear to God, a comedy from the writers of Due Date that has Ferrell attached to play a hedge fund manager whose life is changed after he thinks he sees God. So if you missed Stranger Than Fiction, here's another "guy who does [mundane, semi-relevant thing] is vexed by [high concept omniscient intervention] but nobody believes him!" Will Ferrell comedy for you. Adam McKay's directorial involvement is reportedly still up in the air, and it's also unclear whether this film will come before or after Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg Find an Excuse To Childishly Attack Each Other Again. Regardless, you have to figure there's a pretty good chance God is going to take on the tuberous form of John C. Reilly.
