We've got Kevin Costner and Diane Lane as Superman's adoptive father and mother, Russell Crowe as biological father Jor-El, and today comes the final player in the Clark Kent, This Is Your Life "family" section with news of who will play Superman's blood mother. Continuing with his theme of casting only women from the "man, she looks great for her age" actress pool, director Zack Snyder has reportedly selected Julia Ormond to play Lara, the Kryptonian who spawned the film's titular Man of Steel. Ormond joins a cast that also includes Henry Caville, Amy Adams, Antje Traue, and Michael Shannon--though I'd guess she will most likely not work with any of those people in the roughly three minutes of screen time she'll probably get before she's exploded. But, hey, at least she'll get to meet Russell Crowe and a prop infant.
