Robert De Niro, Diane Keaton in Romantic-Comedy Somehow Not from Nora Ephron

With the 2003 film Something's Gotta Give providing some assurance Diane Keaton totally goes for aging actors that were once icons of a generation but are now usually just the cranky old recognizable guy in broad comedies, Robert De Niro at last has the confidence to attempt a romantically bickering relationship with the Annie Hall star. He's signed to star alongside Keaton in Gently Down the Stream, another comedy for your parents from the writer of The Bucket List. They'll be playing a long-divorced couple who, to seem like a happy family for their adopted son's wedding, pretend to still be married. Rom-com stalwart Katherine Heigl and Amanda Seyfried have signed to co-star, and they can just fight it out over who plays "bride" and who plays "De Niro's much younger girlfriend."

Writer Justin Zackham said of the film:

"I'm excited to be able to continue what we started with on The Bucket List - iconic actors in a funny, adult, character-driven story, albeit with a little more sex and bad behavior on everyone's part,"

So, while De Niro and Keaton previously shared credits on The Godfather, Part II and Marvin's Room, the exciting part here is that, at a mean age of 66, they're going to finally fuck. Yessssss.
